Vietnam Airlines Corporation in connection with the US Eximbank guaranteed financing for the purchase of four Boeing 777 aircraft -- the first US Eximbank guaranteed financing in Vietnam (named "Best Deals of 2003" by Global Trade Review);
Vietnam Airlines in connection with the ECGD-COFACE-HERMES-guaranteed financing for the purchase of three Airbus 231-321 aircraft -- the first combined European ECA guaranteed-financing in Vietnam (named "Asset & Corporate Finance Deal of the Year" by Asian Legal Business (ALB));
Asian Development Bank, Malaysian Eximbank, Fortis Bank, ANZ Investment Bank, and Credit Lyonnais on the financing of the Thu Duc BOT Water Project -- one of the first limited recourse international project financings in Vietnam (named "Asia-Pacific Water Deal of the Year 2001" by Project Finance);
Southern Steel Corporation on the EPC contract for the construction of a steel plant and associated facilities in the Phu My complex -- the first EPC contract in the steel industry and one entirely financed by domestic banks;
Chinfon Bank on the VND refinancing by a syndicate of foreign bank branches and Vietnamese banks led by Chinfon Bank of US $ project debt of Chinfon Cement Joint Venture -- the first VND syndicated loan facility agented by a foreign bank;
the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam on the US $ refinancing by a syndicate of foreign bank branches and the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam led by the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam of US $ project debt of Nghe An Tate & Lyle -- the first syndicate of foreign bank branches and Vietnamese banks agented by a Vietnamese bank;
the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam as lead arranger and agent on the issuance of refund guarantees for advanced payments in connection with the construction of five 50,000 DWT ships to be built by Vietnam Shipbuilding Corporation -- the first significant co-guarantee facility of Vietnamese banks;
the Government of Vietnam and the State Bank of Vietnam on the issuance by Vietnam of its Brady bonds -- the first, and so far only, issuance of bonds by Vietnam on the international capital markets; and
Procter & Gamble on the restructuring of Procter & Gamble Vietnam -- the first major corporate restructuring of a foreign invested enterprise in Vietnam.
