Listing of Indochina Capital Vietnam Holdings Got Honorable Mention in Asian Counsel's "Deals of the Year 2007"
Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City (March 2008) - The US$ 500 million listing of Indochina Capital Vietnam Holdings on the London Stock Exchange got a honorable mention in "Deals of the Year 2007" announced by Asian Counsel, a leading journal covering legal transactions in Asia. According to Asian Counsel, "[h]undreds of deals from dozens of firms ranging from Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, the Middle East, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam all threw their hats into the ring this year, making competition fiercer than ever" and "[w]inning deals were selected based on their size, complexity, uniqueness [...]. Additionally, honourable mentions were alloted to those deals which while not making the final cut were of an exceptional nature." In addition, the listing of Indochina Capital Vietnam Holdings was also a finalist for "Equity Deal of the Year" for IFLR Asia Awards 2008. Indochina Capital Vietnam Holdings, an investment company focused on Vietnam, was listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 2007 and this is the first Vietnam-focused investment company listed on London's main board. Credit Suisse was the sole bookrunner for the placing and listing. DLA Piper acted as New York and US counsel to Indochina Capital Vietnam Holdings. Slaughter and May acted as English counsel to Indochina Capital Vietnam Holdings. Conyers Dill & Pearman acted as British Virgin Islands counsel to Indochina Capital Vietnam Holdings.
