YKVN Names New Partners and Of counsel
Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City (January 16, 2006) - National law firm YKVN has named 2 partners and 1 of counsel effective January 10, 2006. Duong Thu Ha, an associate based in the Hanoi office, and Vu Dzung, an associate based in the Ho Chi Minh City office, were promoted to partnership. Kim Huong Do has become of counsel to the firm. Ms. Ha and Mr. Dzung have been with YKVN since graduation from law school and are the first associates promoted to partnership.

Hanoi
Duong Thu Ha counsels on banking and project finance with an emphasis on lenders' representation. She has led the YKVN team in many landmark lending transactions in Vietnam, including the recent financings of the US$ 313 million Ha Long Cement Plant and the US$ 330 million Thang Long Cement Plant by the 4 State-owned banks. Ms. Ha received her LLB from the Hanoi University of Law in 1996 and her LLM from the University of Melbourne, School of Law in 2002. Ms. Ha is a member of the Hanoi Bar.

Ho Chi Minh City
Vu Dzung represents commercial banks and corporate clients in banking, M&A and general corporate matters. Among many significant transactions, Mr. Dzung advised Vietnam Airlines on its recent landmark US$ 490 million US Eximbank guaranteed financing of Boeing aircraft and US$ 150 million European ECA guaranteed financing of Airbus aircraft. Mr. Dzung received his LLB from the Hanoi University School of Law in 2000 and his BA in English from the Hanoi Foreign Language University in 1999. Mr. Dzung is a member of the Hanoi Bar.
Kim Huong Do has significant US and Vietnamese law experience. Ms. Do has practiced law in the US for almost 10 years, including a 3-year stint at the US Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington DC. Ms. Do has particular expertise on projects, including power projects, and is currently the primary lawyer for a multinational corporation to build a 540 MW coal-fired power (electricity) plant in North Vietnam. Ms. Do received her BA from the University of San Diego in 1992 and her JD from the University of Washington School of Law in June 1995. She also earned an LLM in taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1999. Ms. Do is a member of the Washington Bar.
