Construction/EPC YKVN has substantial experience on construction and EPC matters. We have assisted and advised foreign and domestic contractors on preparation of bid packages and on bidding procedures for the construction of foreign investment projects. For example, we advised a consortium on the bidding procedures in connection with the construction of My Dinh Stadium and assisted AES to prepare the bidding documents for the construction and operating of the Quang Ninh Coal-fired Power Plant.We have participated in the negotiation and preparation of construction contracts for infrastructure projects in Vietnam. YKVN and White & Case recently advised Southern Steel Corporation on the preparation of the turnkey EPC contract to be used in connection with the engineering, procurement and construction of the steel-making plant, rolling mill and their utilities at Phu My I Industrial Zone, Baria Vungtau Province. The contract is prepared on the basis of the FIDIC Conditions for Turnkey/EPC Projects. This is the first EPC contract signed in the steel industry. We continue to advise Southern Steel Corporation on issues arising from the implementation of the EPC contract. |
